The article defines the general characteristics of the PPP mechanism, its advantages for the implementation of infrastructure projects, the factors determining its effectiveness. Individual PPP development initiatives to attract investment in infrastructure were considered on the example of a number of countries. The expansion of the use of PPP is possible through the introduction of tax increment financing (TIF) into PPP projects.
