Competitiveness of the China in the global EV market

Abstract

This research article analyzes the competitiveness of Chinese electric vehicle (EV) manufacturers in the global market amid the current escalation of trade barriers with the United States and the EU. The authors highlight China’s competitive
advantages in the new energy vehicle (NEV) market. The research results demonstrate that China is the world’s largest exporter of battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and has strong potential for further expansion in the markets of friendly countries.
The study also identifies the competitive features of Li Auto’s business model as a leader in hybrid vehicles in the domestic
automotive industry and examines a new strategy of technological premiumization for Russia through the extended-range
electric vehicle (EREV) segment. This strategy demonstrates high financial stability in the domestic market but is subject
to limitations, including tariffs and dependence on national specificities, in pursuing international expansion
