The role and features of the modern banking system in the development of African countries

Abstract

The article investigates the current state and structural characteristics of the banking system in African countries, emphasizing its role in socio-economic development and integration processes on the continent. The analysis covers the strategic priorities of the largest African banks in the field of international expansion, as well as the prospects of digitalization as a tool for increasing financial inclusion and strengthening the sustainability of national economies. Special attention is paid to the potential of new financial technologies and cryptocurrencies in expanding foreign economic relations under the conditions of sanctions pressure and global market transformation.
