The role of personnel as a success factor in the implementation of the lean production concept in fuel and energy companies

Abstract

The core idea of the lean manufacturing concept is to minimize losses at all stages of creating consumer value and to enhance efficiency. The article demonstrates that integrating the lean manufacturing philosophy into corporate culture primarily aims to increase employee engagement and active participation in identifying the causes of losses and developing solutions to eliminate them. The key role of personnel involvement as a success factor in implementing lean manufacturing practices is emphasized. The article also describes the experience of implementing the “Efficient Production” project at one of the enterprises in the fuel and energy sector.
