Abstract

A comparative analysis of the specifics of world models of state financial support and stimulation of innovation activities of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and the Russian Federation is presented. Using international ratings, as well as an analysis of the main indicators of financing scientific and innovation activities, the key role of the state in the development of innovation-oriented SMEs is shown. The main measures to support the development of SMEs in Russia are identified, the directions for concentrating efforts in order to overcome the technological gap in the context of sanctions confrontation are formulated.
