Abstract

The article is devoted to the analysis of theoretical and conceptual approaches to the study of the essence of small business and its role in the national economy, which made it possible to identify the regularities of formation of the modern theory of small business, systematize its key functions, as well as the advantages and disadvantages of sustainable development of small business in an uncertain external environment.
