Mixed innovation policy: managing challenges in a new strategic axis
Abstract
This research aims to intensify the understanding of the interaction between governance processes and the assessment of mixed policies in the specific context of smart specialisation strategies. These new regional innovation strategies are the ideal laboratories for the analysis of the hybrid policy due to their geographically-oriented and experimental nature, focus and potential orientation to major social problems, as well as due to the complex governance context.
