Problems of development of the innovative infrastructure in Russia

Abstract

To strengthen the national economy and increase Russia’s influence in the global economic environment, the state decided to redirect the country from an export-oriented raw-materials model to an innovative development path. During this transition, Russia has faced many problems related to the underdevelopment of innovative infrastructure. The article identifies the main components of innovative infrastructure, substantiates the necessity of their development in Russia, and demonstrates the inefficiency of the functioning of certain subsystems. The authors conclude that to create an innovative economy in the country, it is first necessary to develop an adequate innovative infrastructure.
