Economic-mathematical modeling of currency exchange rate and foreign trade interrelation (on the example of Russia and China)

Abstract

The article examines the role of the currency factor in enhancing foreign trade activity. The dynamics of exports, imports and exchange rates of the Russian Federation and the People’s Republic of China is analyzed, and the research tools are disclosed - a time series model with a distributed lag. The hypothesis about the possibility, through the management of the exchange rate, to intensify or on the contrary to reduce foreign trade activities was confirmed on the example of the People’s Republic of China.
