The impact of ESG rating on the investment attractiveness of companies in developing countries

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to assess the impact of ESG ratings on the investment attractiveness of companies, expressed through profitability ratios and market multiples. Research methods include regression analysis of the relationship between a company’s position in the ESG rating and profitability ratios and market multiples. The results of the regression analysis showed a positive and statistically significant relationship between ESG rating and market multiples of companies.
