Reforming the international monetary system in the conditions of money digitalization

Abstract

The ongoing digital revolution and the rise of large technology companies create opportunities to crucially change the traditional model of money exchange. In this regard, the author analyzed the issue of reforming the global monetary system in the context of the digitalization of money. According to the results of the study, convertibility of monetary instruments and interoperability between platforms can become critical to reduce trade barriers and promote competition.
