Southern regions of Russia: socio-economic analysis of population quality characteristics

Abstract

Improving the quality of the population is a challenge and an indicator of the development of society. The development of strategic principles for its solution is significantly facilitated by the grouping of regions according to the criteria of population quality. Based on previously developed typology, clusters with southern regions are studied. The analysis of their common characteristics and differences has determined the main factors that form the qualitative characteristics of the population: economic, geographical and cultural (national lifestyle trends).
