Approaches to rating the economic development of the region in terms of the significance of environmental problems

Abstract

In Russia, the concept of «Sustainable Development Goals» is being implemented, and elements of the «green economy» are being introduced, which should be reflected in regional development ratings. The study analyzes the positions of the Krasnodar region and offers a new approach to the formation of a rating of socio-economic development of regions, considering the indicator «The share of current expenditures on environmental protection in the GRP». The Russian regions rating according to this indicator for 2018 has been compiled.
