Current state and problems of development of intensive horticulture in Russia

Abstract

The growth rate of the fruit and berry direction of crop production and the intensity of its support by the State challenges the industry. Today’s market demands for high-quality vitamin horticulture products require the industry to take new approaches to the production and storage of products. The analysis in the article revealed a few systemic, diverse problems that constrain the dynamic development of the industry, despite the state’s significant support. According to the study, the solution of problems is a set of measures limiting imports, introducing non-tariff regulation, subsidizing technical re-equipment of the industry, reducing VAT, training personnel.
