The WTO crisis as an expression of the global geoeconomic landscape structural shift

Abstract

The crisis of the WTO system seems to be a complex phenomenon arising from structural changes in the world trade system: the expansion of regional trade agreements, trade wars and access problems to agricultural markets in developed countries more than convincingly indicate that the global trade landscape is undergoing a significant stage of modification, and under these conditions, the WTO in its original form ceases to be a relevant trade mega-regulator.
