Acceleration of “green” agribusiness: the Rostov region experience

Abstract

Maintaining and increasing the competitiveness of Russia in world food markets ensures accelerated development of the most promising sectors, especially crop production. In addition, current trends in technological development within the fourth industrial revolution and the concept of “green economy” require a transition to advanced resource-saving technologies. The article provides a SWOT analysis of the effects of applying the “gentle” soil treatment technologies mini- and no-till, and estimates the economic and environmental effects based on empirical data from the Rostov region.
