Abstract

The article presents a multiplicity of judgments of modern scholars of the phenomenon of the market economy and the choice its acceptance criteria. Authors of the article showed the multi-aspect side of market economy mechanism for setting goals and building development. They put the question to the understanding of the phenomenon of the market economy, as well as obtained debatable components in evaluating the performance of the market as the dominant means of production.
