Evolution of the role and the structure dynamics of international reserves of international currencies issuers

Abstract

The changing role of international reserves of modern key currencies issuers in the world monetary system’s evolution is characterized in the article. The share of official reserves of countries / groups of countries emitting the international currencies, in the total reserves of all countries is estimated. The conclusion on a significant role of the international reserves’ increase and the formation of reserves’ structure with a relatively large share of gold in the process of the achievement and maintenance of national currencies’ high international status is drawn.
