Economic development prospects of wine-making subcomplex in Krasnodar region

Abstract

Viticulture has always been an important agricultural industry of Krasnodar Region and plays an important role in the social and economic development of the region. To date, the existing production capacity of viticulture is used ineffi ciently in a number of objective and subjective reasons. Either viticulture or winemaking in Russia are in the financial crisis condition, what does not match the potential capabilities of this subcomplex. Deterioration in the vineyards quality caused loss of competitiveness of Russian products to the viticultural global market. The authors conclude that the development of wine-making subcomplex in the Krasnodar region should be carried out under two scenarios – an innovative and inertial, and great attention should be paid to first one.
